Long before this property was known as Vinarosa, I photographed a wedding here under its earlier name, Vintners Inn — and it’s one I still think about. It’s full of the kind of personal, playful touches that don’t show up in a typical venue tour: a Jenga tower guests signed instead of a guestbook, wine bottles relabeled with the couple’s own photo as table numbers, cake toppers built out of Lego. If you’re researching the Vinarosa wedding venue for your own celebration, this is a real look at what a full day here can look like.

This property has gone by three names over the years — Vintners Inn, then Vintners Resort, and now Vinarosa — but the bones that make it such a popular Vinarosa wedding venue haven’t changed: Tuscan-inspired stone buildings, a working vineyard on-site, and a handful of distinct backdrops that let one wedding day feel like several. You can see the property as it looks today on Vinarosa’s own wedding page.

Getting Ready with Mimosas and Whiskey

The morning started the way a lot of my favorite wedding days do — separately, and a little chaotic. The bride’s gown hung in a sunlit window while she had her hair styled, and her bridesmaids, in matching navy robes, toasted with mimosas and a raised champagne bottle before anyone got dressed. Down the hall, the groom and his guys were in their own kind of prep mode: tuxedos, cufflinks, a bow tie and watch laid out on the table, and a bottle of Irish whiskey making the rounds — the kind of relaxed morning that makes this Vinarosa wedding venue feel more like a friend’s house than a hotel.

A Garden Ceremony Guests Still Talk About

The ceremony took place outdoors, with guests greeted by a hand-lettered sign reading “choose a seat, not a side” — a small detail, but the kind that tells you a lot about a couple. Two young ring bearers carried the rings down a petal-strewn aisle behind a burlap “Here Comes the Bride” sign, and a flower girl scattered petals ahead of the bride. The ceremony space itself sat just past the property’s ivy-covered stucco buildings — close enough to catch a glimpse of the on-site John Ash & Co. sign, a nice reminder of how much history this Vinarosa wedding venue actually holds. Vows were exchanged, rings were placed, and the couple’s first kiss happened right beside a stack of wine crates — about as on-brand for a wine-country ceremony as it gets.

Vineyard Portraits Around the Vinarosa Wedding Venue

Once the ceremony wrapped, we made our way through the property for portraits — between rows of vines, beside a tiered stone fountain, and through a wood-beamed hallway lit by wrought-iron chandeliers that’s become one of my favorite indoor backdrops on this estate. A quick stop at a stone archway doorway rounded things out before we headed into the reception — proof that this Vinarosa wedding venue rarely runs out of backdrops.

A Reception Full of Personal Touches

This is where the couple’s personality really came through. Instead of place cards, guests found their tables marked by wine bottles labeled “Cab.” and “Merlot,” each one dressed with a photo of the couple. Favors were tiny matchboxes printed “A Match Made in Heaven.” In place of a traditional guestbook, guests signed Jenga blocks and stacked them into a tower — a keepsake that’s a lot more fun to pull out years later than a signed book. Even the cake got the same treatment: a rustic, burlap-wrapped tiered cake topped with a pair of custom Lego bride-and-groom figures. Toasts, laughter, and a table full of guests who clearly knew each other well closed out the night at this Vinarosa wedding venue.
