Diana and Juan were married on April 21, 2012. Their Catholic ceremony took place at St. Isidore Church in Danville, California, followed by a reception at The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon. Their day moved from a joyful morning getting ready to a full Mass at the altar. Golden-hour portraits on the golf course and a reception full of dancing, cake, and tradition followed.

Getting Ready

The morning began with sparkling heels, delicate jewelry, and a strapless gown laid out to catch the window light. Diana’s bridesmaids helped her dress. Down the hall, Juan and his groomsmen suited up, trading a flask and a few easy laughs. Diana held up the couple’s wedding invitation for a detail shot. A groomsman’s engraved pocketknife carried the wedding date. Afterward, the wedding party gathered for portraits in a fireplace lounge before the ceremony.

A Catholic Ceremony at St. Isidore Church

Diana walked down the aisle at St. Isidore Church, past pews trimmed with yellow flowers. Juan waited for her at the altar beneath a gold crucifix. The Mass continued with a unity candle and a ring blessing. Their first kiss as a married couple came at the altar rail. Afterward, Diana and Juan walked back up the aisle together as guests applauded.

Portraits and Reception Details at The Bridges Golf Club

Afterward, Diana and Juan arrived at The Bridges Golf Club. The bridal party posed beneath a stucco archway before heading out for portraits. A favor box printed with their names and wedding date, a tiered cake with cascading sugar flowers, and the couple’s rings all made an appearance in the reception’s styled details. Florals came from Katharina Stuart, and Amos Productions handled the day’s DJ and videography. The wedding party then continued its portraits in a corrugated-metal cart tunnel on the course. Afterward, Diana and Juan slipped away for golden-hour portraits of their own, framed by fairways, bunkers, and rolling hills.

First Dance, Cake, and Reception Traditions

Back inside, Diana and Juan opened the dancing with an embrace and a dramatic dip beneath the reception room’s wood-beamed ceiling. They returned to their four-tier cake for a formal cutting and a playful bite for each other. Then came two classic reception traditions. Diana tossed her bouquet to a crowd of hopeful guests, and a blindfolded Juan retrieved the garter and sent it sailing toward the men.

Dancing the Night Away

As the night went on, guests filled the dance floor under the reception room’s colored lights. Diana and Juan danced among their friends and family until the very end of the night. They closed out the celebration together over one last bite of cake.
